-- News media can pick up press passes from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the north door of Wagnon Student Athlete Center, adjacent to and west of Allen Field House. For a press pass, please fax the request to University Relations at (785) 864-3339 before 5 p.m. Friday, April 16. Please indicate how many passes you need. On Sunday, please present an ID to obtain your press pass at the door. After 5:30 p.m., press passes will be available at the south doors of Allen Field House.
-- Media can park in visitor parking lot 72, located west of the parking garage on Irving Hill Road. If you plan a live feed, please alert us so we can reserve a parking spot for your stationØs satellite truck. Call Frank Barthell at (785) 864-8869.
-- The Rev. Tutu will hold a press conference in Hadl Auditorium, Wagnon Student Athletic Center from 5 to 5:45 p.m. There will be no opportunities for one-on-one interviews.
-- Just after the press conference, the Rev. Tutu will meet with Rachel Sixta, a fourth-grade student at Briarwood Elementary School, Prairie Village, her parents and her teacher, Barbara Kueffer. -- The Rev Tutu will attend a private reception with KU students at 6 p.m.
-- The Rev. Tutu will give the Student Lecture Series lecture at 7 p.m. in Allen Field House. There will be reserved seating for media and risers for video and print photographers. No flash photography. An audio and video feed will be available on the east side of the field house. The speech is scheduled to last one hour, followed by a 30-minute question-and-answer period.
