Summer theatre auditions are open to both KU students and community actors, said Delbert Unruh, director of the University Theatre. Summer performances are in July and all rehearsals will be in the evening, beginning in early June.
The sign-up for open call auditions is from noon to 4 p.m. Monday, April 12, in the Murphy Hall lobby. The open call auditions are at 7 p.m. that evening in the Inge Theatre. Auditioners have two minutes to perform contrasting pieces from dramatic literature; people auditioning for "Godspell" should also prepare 32 bars of a song. For auditioners who have not prepared material, cold reading material will be provided, Unruh said.
Callback auditions will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, April 13 and 14, in Murphy Hall. Callback lists will be posted in the Green Room of Murphy Hall by noon each day.
Cast lists will be posted by noon Thursday, April 15.
