PRESS PASSES FOR TUTU APPEARANCE AVAILABLE

LAWRENCE -- Nobel Peace Prize winner Desmond Tutu will hold a press conference prior to his lecture at the University of Kansas on April 18.

Tutu will meet with area media at 5 p.m. in Hadl Auditorium in the Wagnon Student Athletic Center, next to Allen Field House.

After the press conference, Tutu will attend a private reception with KU students. Tutu will give his lecture at 7 p.m. in Allen Field House. Tickets for the lecture are now on sale at KU box offices and Ticketmaster outlets.

For press passes to the press conference and lecture, please fax a request to the Office of University Relations at (785) 864-3339 by 5 p.m. Thursday, April 15. Please include the names of people attending, whether they are writers or photographers, and the name of the media organization they will represent.

Press passes will be available beginning at 4:30 p.m. April 18 at the door of the Wagnon Student Athlete Center. Please be prepared to show ID.
