KU OFFERS ONLINE COURSES FOR TEACHERS
LAWRENCE -- Several online courses for teachers are available for statewide enrollment this summer from the University of Kansas Independent Study program.
These upper-level undergraduate and graduate courses may typically be taken to help secure or renew a teaching certificate.
Kansas teachers should consult the state Department of Education criteria for certification.
KU online Independent Study courses include the following three-credit-hour courses:
- MEMT 791c Mainstreaming/Inclusion in Music Education;
- SPED 915c Advanced Curriculum Development for Exceptional Children and Youth;
- SW 310c Managing Stress: Principles and Techniques for Coping, Prevention, and Wellness;
- T&L/SPED 798c Design and Delivery of Instruction Using Educational Communications; and
- T&L 840c Curriculum Planning for Educational Settings.
