CORRECTION
A graduating senior's degree in pharmacy was listed incorrectly in a May 4 release announcing the names of students selected to carry banners in the May 23 commencement ceremonies at KU.
The correct degree information is:
Stacey Heidrick Mader of Beloit, banner carrier for the School of Pharmacy, will receive a doctor of pharmacy degree.
KU no longer offers a bachelor's degree in pharmacy. The doctor of pharmacy or PharmD degree is a six-year professional level degree similar to a juris doctor degree in law or a doctor of medicine degree.
Professional degrees are not offered through the Graduate School.
