KU GRAD SCHOOL TO HOST WORKSHOP

LAWRENCE -- The University of Kansas Graduate School will host a fall workshop focusing on the recruitment and admission of students for graduate programs, "Selecting Students for Successful Graduate Programs."

This symposium, scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 18, has been designed for graduate program directors, department chairs, and faculty and staff who coordinate activities involved in the selection process.

George Walker, vice president for research and dean of the graduate school at Indiana University, will present an overview of current national trends and future prospects in post-baccalaureate programs. The afternoon session will feature a panel presentation highlighting KU's current recruitment and admission practices.
