ART MUSEUM CELEBRATES HOLIDAYS

LAWRENCE -- The Spencer Museum of Art at the University of Kansas is having a celebration combining traditions from winter holidays from around the world from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 12.

There will be music, holiday treats, papercrafts and other activities for all ages. The celebration offers a chance to see a selection of dolls from the collection that are rarely displayed. In addition, the KU Friends of the Library are joining in as hosts of the event and will have special holiday books on display. The Motet Singers and other musical groups will perform throughout the afternoon, while storyteller Priscilla Howe will regale all with folktales.

All weekend, the KU museum shops at the Museum of Art, the Museum of Anthropology and the Natural History Museum will offer 15% off (25% off for Friends) on purchases.
