KU THEATRE PLANS PANEL DISCUSSION TO EXPAND ON PLAY'S THEMES

LAWRENCE -- "The Creative Process: How Does It Work?," a panel discussion in conjunction with the University of Kansas Theatre's production of "Picasso at the Lapin Agile" by Steve Martin, will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, at Borders Books & Music, 700 New Hampshire.

Participants will have an informal discussion on some of the play's themes including such issues as "Art vs. Science" and "Genius vs. Fame," according to Doug Weaver, who is directing the KU production.

Panelists will include Matt Mozier, a composer and musician with Arthur Dodge and the Horsefeathers Band; Stan Herd, nationally-known crop artist; Alfred J. Lata, KU chemistry lecturer, opera singer and actor; and Don Schawang, KU adjunct instructor in theatre who is also a playwright, director and actor.

The discussion is free and open to the public. Tickets for "Picasso at the Lapin Agile" are available through the KU box offices. For reservations, call (785) 864-3982.
