KU ANNOUNCES SUMMER 1999 GRADUATES

LAWRENCE -- More than 745 students received degrees from the University of Kansas after the 1999 summer session, according to KU's Registrar, Richard C. Morrell, who recently announced the names of the new graduates.

Because KU conducts only one formal commencement ceremony each year, many of these graduates will return to take part in commencement exercises in May 2000.

The names of graduates are no longer available online. For degree verification, please visit the Office of the Registrar or contact the National Student Clearinghouse at (702) 742-4200. There is a retrieval fee.

There are no students on this list from the following counties: Barber, Brown, Chase, Chautauqua, Cheyenne, Clark, Cloud, Coffey, Comanche, Decatur, Edwards, Elk, Ellsworth, Geary, Gove, Graham, Grant, Gray, Greeley, Greenwood, Hamilton, Haskell, Jackson, Jewell, Kearny, Kingman, Kiowa, Lane, Lincoln, Logan, Marion, Meade, Morris, Morton, Ness, Norton, Osborne, Ottawa, Phillips, Rawlins, Republic, Rush, Russell, Scott, Sheridan, Sherman, Smith, Thomas, Trego, Wallace, Washington, Wichita, and Woodson.

KU offers about 75 undergraduate and 165 graduate degrees. To facilitate listing of degrees, abbreviations for the more common ones are used with the major or majors when applicable.
