WHO AND WHAT:
U.S. Sen. Pat Roberts, R-Dodge City, will be joined by the leaders of the state's three research universities Thursday as he unveils the results of a statewide survey on university research.
Roberts also is scheduled to highlight the science and research infrastructure needs of Kansas universities.
University of Kansas Chancellor Robert E. Hemenway, along with the presidents of Kansas State University and Wichita State University, will comment on the findings immediately following Roberts' remarks.
WHEN AND WHERE:
The press conference will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 31, in Room 220 South of the Kansas Statehouse, Topeka.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
The statewide survey was conducted by Research America, a national alliance of health and science groups based in Alexandria, Va., which polled 800 adult residents in 97 Kansas counties. A representative from Research America will be available to answer questions, as well.
