NPR's Susan Stamberg interviews Roy Williams on Tuesday's "Morning Edition" broadcast

LAWRENCE--Internationally renowned broadcast journalist Susan Stamberg of National Public Radio will interview University of Kansas basketball coach Roy Williams Tuesday morning during NPR's Morning Edition news program.

Morning Edition can be heard between 5 and 9 a.m. on KANU-FM 91.5, KU's public radio station based in Lawrence, as well as KCUR-FM 89.3 in Kansas City. The segment featuring Williams is expected to air at 6:20 and 8:20 a.m.

Stamberg interviewed Williams as part of a series, "Leadership in America," which has featured Amazon.com founder Jeff Bezos and movie director Sydney Pollack among others.

One of the most popular broadcasters in public radio, Stamberg is well-known for her conversational style, intelligence, and knack for finding an interesting story. Her thousands of interviews include conversations with Nancy Reagan, Annie Liebowitz, Rosa Parks, Dave Brubeck and James Baldwin. Stamberg is one of the pioneers of National Public Radio, on staff since the network began in 1971.
