Statement RE: Tragic Accident

Chancellor Robert E. Hemenway made the following statement in response to a tragic car accident that took the lives of Daniel and Morelia Livingston, parents of KU student Andrea Livingston of Omaha, Neb. The Livingstons were killed in Topeka Friday, Sept. 1, en route to picking up Andrea for the Labor Day holiday.

Our hearts go out to Andrea Livingston and her family. The entire university community is saddened by this horrible accident. We offer Andrea our prayers and all available support and assistance.
