LAWRENCE -- Work has resumed on the Crescent waterline project near the University of Kansas.
If the weather holds, the contractor hopes to complete the work between Naismith Drive and West Campus Road before students return for spring semester Jan. 15.
From about 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., traffic between Naismith Drive and West Campus Road will be limited to eastbound vehicles only. Westbound vehicles will be detoured to University Drive.
The KU Public Safety office recommends that other routes to KU's central campus be used to avoid the construction. For access to the northern part of the central campus, use University Drive, Mississippi St. or Oread Ave. For access to the southern part of the central campus, use 15th, 19th or Indiana streets, or Sunflower Road.
