LAWRENCE -- The Kenneth Spencer Research Library at the University of Kansas will be closed for six weekdays from July 20 through July 27. The library is completing a reorganization of equipment and collections to improve its services.
The library, located behind Strong Hall, will reopen on Monday, July 30.The library is closed on weekends during the summer.
During the closure, Staff can be reached by phone --- (785) 864-4274, -4334 and -4188 -- and by email. More information will be available on the University Libraries Web site at www.lib.ku.edu.
The library is consolidating staff services for users of the Kansas Collection, the Department of Special Collections and the University Archives. A new Reader Services Department, located on the third floor, will oversee reception and reference services and an expanded reading room.
