Place: Room 114 of the KU Endowment Association building, 1891 Constant Ave., on KU's West Campus in Lawrence.
What's happening: KU Endowment and KU officials will announce the largest single outright contribution to KU Endowment from an individual in the history of KU. The gift counts toward the $500 million goal of KU First: Invest in Excellence.
Who: The donor of the gift, Chancellor Robert E. Hemenway and KU First Chairman Forrest E. Hoglund will speak at the event and will be available for interviews following the announcement.
Parking: Parking will be available in the lot on the west side of the KU Endowment building. Please enter through the west door (visible from the parking lot), where you will be greeted by a member of the KU Endowment Communications Department and taken to room 114.
The Kansas University Endowment Association is an independent, non-profit organization serving as the official fund-raising and fund-management organization for the University of Kansas. Founded in 1891, KU Endowment is the first foundation of its kind at a U.S. public university and one of the largest.
