Community murals in reaction to terrorist attacks on display in union

LAWRENCE -- Community murals created in the wake of the Sept. 11 attacks will be on display today through Nov. 9 in the Kansas Union gallery at the University of Kansas. A reception with refreshments honoring the community artists will take place from 7 to 9 tonight in the gallery.

The gallery is on the union's fourth floor.

After the terrorist attacks, Student Union Activities and students from the KU School of Fine Arts offered people in the KU community a chance to express their feelings through two separate community murals.
