KU announces summer 2001 graduates

LAWRENCE -- More than 800 students received degrees from the University of Kansas after the 2001 summer session, according to KU Registrar Richard C. Morrell, who today announced the names of the new graduates.

Because KU conducts only one formal commencement ceremony each year, many of these graduates will return to take part in commencement exercises on May 19, 2002.

The names of graduates are no longer available online. For degree verification, please visit the Office of the Registrar or contact the National Student Clearinghouse at (702) 742-4200. There is a retrieval fee.

There are NO graduates from these counties: Anderson, Atchison, Barber, Chase, Chautauqua, Cheyenne, Comanche, Decatur, Dickinson, Edwards, Elk, Ellsworth, Gove, Graham, Gray, Greenwood, Hamilton, Harper, Hodgeman, Jewell, Kingman, Kiowa, Lane, Linn, Logan, Marshall, Meade, Mitchell, Morris, Nemaha, Neosho, Ness, Norton, Osborne, Ottawa, Pawnee, Pratt, Rawlins, Rooks, Rush, Scott, Seward, Sherman Smith, Stafford, Stanton, Stevens, Trego, Wallace, Washington, Wichita, Wilson, and Woodson.

Note: KU offers about 75 undergraduate and 165 graduate degrees. To facilitate listing of degrees, abbreviations for the more common ones are used with the major or majors when applicable. If no major is listed, the name of the major is in the name of the degree. The degree key at left is used in abbreviating names of degrees
