KANU offers live news coverage
LAWRENCE -- The University of Kansas' public radio station, KANU 91.5, has scrapped regular programming in order to broadcast wall-to-wall, continuing live coverage of the terrorists events along the east coast. NPR's rolling coverage will last through at least 9am tomorrow. KANU was scheduled to go off the air today for five hours while its tower was painted. That has been cancelled.
"We don't believe we can fly there today," Mossberg said. "We've talked with the people who arranged our program, and they're in such a disarray that we've agreed to cancel that program." Mossberg said he imagined the program on national policy making would be rescheduled in the future. "At this point, we're trying to make sure no one tries to beat the bus or get on an airplane that's not going to leave anyway."
The 39 Self Fellows are pre-doctoral graduate students from the all areas of the Lawrence Campus and the KU Medical Center.
