Terrorism war's effect on international law, civil liberties is law school panel topic

LAWRENCE -- The University of Kansas School of Law will sponsor a panel discussion on "The Legality of the War Against Terrorism at Home and Abroad" at 3:30 to 5 p.m., Monday, Sept. 24 in Room 104, Green Hall.

Faculty members scheduled to participate in the panel include professors David Gottlieb and John Head. Mike Kautsch, professor of law and former dean of the School of Journalism, will be the moderator.

Head will offer a perspective on the relationship between international law and possible actions by the United States abroad and Gottlieb will talk about the civil liberties implications at home.
