LAWRENCE -- The Lied Center of Kansas Family Series and U.S. Bank present Trout Fishing in America at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24, 2003. With creative song titles such as "Junk Food Jump" and "Dinosaur in Your Bathtub," Trout Fishing promises a fun-filled evening of entertainment for people of all ages.
Named after Richard Brautigan's classic novel from the late 1960s, this "power duo" has been together for 25 years. Known collectively as Trout Fishing in America, Keith Grimwood and Ezra Idlet continue to win new fans with their unique way of looking at the world-- crafted around Idlet's acoustic guitar, Grimwood's upright bass and their exceptional vocal power. The Lied Center performance also will feature multi-instrumentalist Fred Bogert on keyboard, accordion, coronet, electric guitar and mandolin.
