LAWRENCE -- A press conference for Cokie Roberts, chief congressional analyst for ABC News since 1998 and a news analyst for National Public Radio, is scheduled for 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6 in the Jayhawk Room, Kansas Union on the KU campus.
The press conference is open to press only. The Jayhawk Room is located on the fifth level of the union. Due to construction in the union, access is available only through the elevators.
Roberts also will give a public speech at 1:30 p.m. in Woodruff Auditorium, Kansas Union on the KU campus. The press is welcome to attend the lecture. Woodruff Auditorium is located on the fifth level. Note: The lighting is not very good in this auditorium.
Roberts is at KU to receive the William Allen White Citation, an award for excellence in journalism given annually since 1950 by the William Allen White Foundation. KU's School of Journalism and Mass Communications is named for White, the Pulitzer Prize-winning editor of the Emporia Gazette.
