LAWRENCE -- The Lied Center of Kansas New Directions Series presents the modern voice of jazz, Nnenna Freelon, at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14. This singer/songwriter, nominated five times for Grammy awards, will perform in a concert featuring her four-member ensemble as well as the Lawrence Children's Choir. Together they will perform Freelon's song "One Child at a Time."

Lied Center facilities, parking and front-of-house staff are fully prepared to accommodate patrons with special needs. The Lied Center has barrier-free entrances, and wheelchair locations are available on all levels of the performance hall. Free headsets are available for people requiring hearing-assistance or audio-description devices. Please show photo identification when reserving the headset.
