KU band students to perform with Kansas Intercollegiate Band

LAWRENCE -- Six University of Kansas Band students have been selected to perform with the Kansas Intercollegiate Band in a concert in Wichita for the 2002 Convention of the Kansas Music Educators Association. The event is at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, in the Century II Concert Hall.

The selected students are: Rebecca Harris, flute; Kellie Lankford, flute; Elizabeth Baddely, clarinet; Patty Merseraull, clarinet; Carly Sundvold, clarinet; and Chris Wade, percussion.

The students will join almost 100 of their peers from the colleges and universities of Kansas at the state convention, where they will audition for chair placement, rehearse and perform in the concert.
