MEDIA ADVISORY: Koch Foundation to present gift Monday in Wichita for KU School of Business

LAWRENCE -- A major gift from the Koch Foundation of Wichita to the Kansas University Endowment Association for the University of Kansas School of Business will be announced Monday, July 29.

A reception will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Wichita Center for the Arts, 9112 E. Central in Wichita, and the announcement will be made at 6:15 p.m.

Speakers will include Charles G. Koch, chairman and CEO of Koch Industries Inc., KU Chancellor Robert E. Hemenway and Business Dean William L. Fuerst.

The gift will count toward the $500 million goal of KU First: Invest in Excellence, the largest fund-raising campaign in KU history. KU Endowment is conducting KU First on behalf of the university through 2004 to raise funds for scholarships, fellowships, professorships, capital projects and program support. KU Endowment is an independent, nonprofit organization serving as the official fund-raising and fund-management organization for KU.
