Statement re: death of student Benjamin E. Hartter

Chancellor Robert E. Hemenway made the following statement in response to the Wednesday, March 20, death of Benjamin Eli Hartter, a 22-year-old senior in biochemistry from Morrill. KU Counseling and Psychological Services is offering grief counseling to students.

"The entire University of Kansas community extends its sympathy to the family and friends of Benjamin Hartter. The tragic death of this talented student is a great loss to the university. I would like to express my profound sorrow and extend my condolences."
