LAWRENCE -- No vehicles will be allowed access to the central campus of the University of Kansas during and immediately following Saturday's NCAA semifinal game between the KU Jayhawks and the Maryland Terrapins.
The closures are designed to protect KU's historic central campus as well as pedestrians. Celebrants are encouraged to join Jayhawk fans in Memorial Stadium, where the game will be shown on the videoboard and other post-game activities are planned.
The following streets will be closed:
Jayhawk Boulevard, east- and westbound, from the Chi Omega fountain on West Campus Road to Oread Avenue and 13th Street.
Sunflower Road, both directions, from Sunnyside Avenue to Memorial Drive.
Mississippi Street, northbound, from Memorial Drive to the entrance to the stadium parking lots.
Mississippi Street, both directions, from the parking garage entrance to Memorial Drive.
Memorial Drive, both directions, from Mississippi Street to West Campus Road.

Surface parking lots and parking garages will be open and free. To access the parking garage north of the Kansas Union, enter from Oread Avenue. Vehicles may exit but not enter the garage from Mississippi Street.
