WHAT: Fans are invited to watch the Jayhawks' NCAA semifinal game on the videoboard at Memorial Stadium. Post-game team press conferences are to be shown via satellite. Also: KU basketball highlights, Baby Jay, Crimson Girls, music and more.
WHEN: Gates open at 6:30 p.m.; game starts at 7:47 p.m. Saturday.
WHERE: Seating, concessions and restrooms will be available on the west side of the stadium.
MEDIA ROOM: Jayhawks football locker room -- entrance at southwest corner of stadium. You will find:
Data access for photo transmission, etc.
Phone lines for media use only.
TV monitors showing stadium videoboard and regular broadcasting.
University public relations and public safety spokespeople will be available.
Pop, water and snacks for media.
The stadium press level will not be open.
PARKING and STREETS:
TV stations using microwave transmission and satellite trucks are encouraged to call Frank Barthell at (785) 864-8869 or (785) 845-9996 (cellular).
Microwave trucks are encouraged to park in Lot 11, just north of Joseph R. Pearson Hall.
Vehicle access to central campus -- Jayhawk Boulevard, Memorial Drive and Sunflower Road -- will be closed during and after the game. If you are parked on these streets when the closure goes into effect, police will ask you to leave the area. A map is available online at www.jayhawks.ku.edu/roads/closedstreets.html.
Media may park in lots on the west side of the stadium. Be prepared to show media ID, particularly if you are in an unmarked vehicle.
CAMPUS:
NO ALCOHOL is allowed on campus or in Memorial Stadium. No tailgating with alcohol will be permitted. There will be enhanced law enforcement.
