LAWRENCE -- The University of Kansas has announced the names of its new freshman class officers.
KU freshmen voted by ballot Oct. 9 and 10. The Board of Class Officers enables freshmen to become involved in the KU community by representing their class to the overall student body and by assisting the senior class officers. The freshman class officers help organize homecoming festivities, philanthropies and other university events.
Freshman fall enrollment at KU's Lawrence campus is 5,936. Total fall enrollment at the Lawrence campus is 26,458.
Officers' names, majors, high schools, parents' names and freshman class offices are:
JOHNSON COUNTY
From Prairie Village
Greyson A. Clymer, major undecided, Shawnee Mission East High School, son of David and Melanie Clymer; president.
SEDGWICK COUNTY
From Wichita
Ryan M. Patton, pre-journalism, Wichita Collegiate High School, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Coulson; vice president.
SHAWNEE COUNTY
From Topeka
Jenni E. Fox, psychology, Washburn Rural High School, daughter of Robert and Claudia Fox; treasurer.
OKLAHOMA
From Tulsa
Whitney M. Ryan, biology, Jenks High School, daughter of Phillip and Charlotte Ryan; secretary.
