Moscow Boys Choir to perform at Lied Center Nov. 23

LAWRENCE -- The Lied Center of Kansas Lied Family Series and Central National Bank present the Moscow Boys Choir performing holiday songs from around the world at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, at the Lied Center at the University of Kansas.

This season, the Lied Center of Kansas, KU˙s Center for Russian and East European Studies, the Hall Center for the Humanities, KU Continuing Education, the Department of Slavic Languages and other organizations will participate in the St. Petersburg Tercentenary Celebration. Classes, lectures, discussions, conferences and several performances at the Lied Center will pay tribute to the long cultural and artistic tradition of St. Petersburg, which was founded by Peter the Great in May 1703.  • 4-5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20: The Boy Choir Tradition, New Generation Society Lecture, Guest Speaker, Janeal Krehbiel, director, Lawrence Children˙s Choir. Oldfather Warm-up/Dance Studio, Lied Center.

 • Afternoon, Saturday, Nov. 23: Choral Exchange with the Lawrence Children's Choir, co-sponsored by the KU Center for Russian and East European Studies. Lied Center.
