NIH director of clinical medical informatics to speak at KU Feb. 27

LAWRENCE -- Stephen Rosenfeld, National Institutes of Health director of clinical medical informatics, will present a lecture on "Informatics in Medicine and Clinical Research: Automation and Innovation" as part of KU's Interdisciplinary Informatics Seminar Series.

The free, public lecture will be at 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, in the Kansas Room of the Kansas Union at KU.

Rosenfeld is the clinical research information system project manager and chief of the Department of Clinical Research Informatics NIH Clinical Center. His expertise centers on the use of information technology in support of biomedical research and clinical care and the management of information technology projects in health care settings.

Sponsors for the lecture are the KU Division of Biological Sciences, the Department of Molecular Biology, and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
