KU Employment Services plans career and employment fair Feb. 5 and 6

LAWRENCE -- Career and Employment Services at the University of Kansas is sponsoring the 13th annual Career and Employment Fair from 12:30 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, and Thursday, Feb. 6, on the fifth floor of the Kansas Union.

About 1,200 students are expected to visit the more than 120 companies and organizations that will be represented at the fair. The event provides an opportunity for students to visit informally with employers about job options and to learn more about employment, internship and volunteer opportunities.

Some companies will conduct next-day interviews on campus Feb. 6 and 7. Many have on-campus interviews scheduled through March.

Students and alumni in all majors are welcome to attend.

A complete list of participating organizations and company profiles are available at www.ku.edu/~uces. For more information, contact University Career and Employment Services at (785) 864-3624.

The career fair is sponsored by Cintas, Philip Morris, Quintiles, Select Rehabilitation, State Street, Target, California Casualty Management Co., Cheley Colorado Camps, E & J Gallo, The Pitch, Social Security Administration, Sprint, United Parcel Service, Zimmer Radio Group and Coca-Cola.
