You're invited: Media-only preview tour of Dole Institute; orientation session

What: Media preview tour and orientation for Dole Institute dedication.

When: Tuesday, July 15
 • 10-11 a.m.: Arrive at KU Visitor Center, 15th and Iowa streets, to receive media credentials and attend orientation session. University Relations staff will address coverage opportunities and restrictions for events and answer all your questions.

 • 11 a.m.-noon. Reassemble at the Dole Institute of Politics on West Campus, adjacent to the Lied Center.
Richard Norton Smith, director of the Dole Institute, will give a guided tour of the completed institute, which will open to the public for the first time Saturday, July 19. See the stained-glass windows, World Trade Center memorial, interactive displays, archive vaults and more. Cameras welcome.

Why: This is your best opportunity for a one-on-one interview with Smith during the Dole Institute dedication.
This is your best opportunity to view the interior of the Dole Institute and receive a guided tour from Smith. This is your best opportunity to ask questions about the event so we can accommodate your coverage needs during this exciting event.
