KU announces spring 2003 honor roll

LAWRENCE -- More than 4,300 University of Kansas undergraduate students were named to KU's honor roll for the spring 2003 semester.

The students from KU's Lawrence campus and the schools of allied health and nursing represent 95 of 105 Kansas counties and 45 states.

The honor roll comprises undergraduates who meet requirements in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and in the schools of allied health, architecture and urban design, business, education, engineering, fine arts, nursing and journalism. The School of Social Welfare does not compile an honor roll.

Honor roll criteria vary among the university's academic units. Some schools honor the top 10 percent of students enrolled, some establish a minimum grade-point average and others raise the minimum GPA for each year students are in school. Students must complete a minimum number of credit hours to be considered for the honor roll.

About 71 percent of KU's 28,849 students are undergraduates.

The names of students honored, their school or department, their parents' or guardians' names and their high school alma maters are listed online. For students in the School of Allied Health, a level in school is not always listed.

EDITOR'S NOTE: There are NO students listed from these Kansas counties: Elk, Hamilton, Kearny, Kiowa, Lane, Lincoln, Linn, Meade, Scott and Stanton.

Students' names are listed at www.ur.ku.edu/News/03N/JulyNews/July11/directory.html in the following format:
