LAWRENCE -- University of Kansas Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor David Shulenburger will meet with donors and alumni in Japan and South Korea during a privately funded trip June 14 through 21.
Shulenburger will be joined by Diana Carlin, dean of the KU graduate school and international programs, and Susan Gronbeck-Tedesco, director of the Office of Study Abroad.
Their itinerary will include alumni events and meetings with current and prospective donors. The seven-day trip is sponsored by the chancellor's office and KU International Programs.
On June 19, the KU party will visit Sungkyunkwan University for a meeting with Provost for External Affairs Seon-Gi Baek and the signing of an academic agreement between the two institutions. Other highlights include a June 16 alumni reception in Tokyo, a June 19 dinner with the KU Korean Association in Seoul and a June 20 alumni reception in Seoul.
