LAWRENCE -- George W. Bush, Saddam Hussein, Osama bin Laden, Hillary Clinton and Martha Stewart are among the public figures set to be skewered on the next edition of "Right Between the Ears," the award-winning sketch comedy show produced by Kansas Public Radio.
KPR's resident comedy troupe will present the season finale at Liberty Hall in Lawrence at 5 and 8 p.m. Saturday, June 21. The 8 p.m. show will be broadcast live on KPR stations and online at kpr.ku.edu.
Although still in preparation at press time, the June edition of "Right Between the Ears" will include topical take-offs on President George W. Bush's hunt for weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, and former first lady Hillary Clinton's new tell-all book, "Living History." Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden will star in a Middle Eastern road company version of "The Odd Couple." Other bits will spoof "The Matrix: Reloaded" ("Be confused. Be very confused.") and TV's popular thriller "24." Also, continuing episodes of audience favorites "Buck Naked," "Frontier Scout" and "The Casebook of Mobile Holmes" will be featured in the hourlong show.
Tickets cost $12 for cabaret seats and $10 for balcony seats. Tickets are on sale at Liberty Hall and Ticketmaster outlets. Credit card orders may be placed online at Ticketmaster.com or by calling (816) 931-3330.
"Right Between the Ears" is produced by KPR's Darrell Brogdon. The show's Web site is www.rightbetweentheears.org.
