LAWRENCE -- More than 40 University of Kansas students recently were initiated into Phi Alpha Theta, a national history honor society.
Undergraduate students were invited to join if they had completed four history courses with a grade-point average of at least 3.1 and had a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Phi Alpha Theta seeks to promote the study of history by encouraging research, good teaching, publication and the exchange of learning and ideas among historians.
