LAWRENCE -- Legal Services for Students will provide information about identity theft tonight during a workshop at the University of Kansas.
The lecture will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, March 3, in 110 Budig Hall at KU. The event is free and open to the public.
Handouts will be provided with information about how identity theft occurs, its prevention and what to do if personal information is stolen.
"We want to provide some basic resources and information regarding identity theft," said Lauren Reinhold, staff attorney at LSS.
Information from the workshop will be posted after the event on the LSS Web site, www.ku.edu/~legals.
