Legislator, KU administrators to discuss higher education funding Tuesday

LAWRENCE -- A Lawrence state legislator and two University of Kansas administrators will participate in a public panel discussion on higher education funding at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Dole Institute of Politics.

The KU Student Senate is sponsoring the event, which will feature state Rep. Paul Davis, D-Lawrence; KU Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor David Shulenburger; and Executive Vice Chancellor for University Relations Janet Murguia. The panelists will discuss issues facing higher education and then take questions from the audience.

More than 50 of the Student Senate's 80 members are expected to attend. The Dole Institute is located on KU's West Campus, adjacent to the Lied Center.
