MEDIA ADVISORY: Major gift from legendary KU athlete to be announced Friday night

WHAT: A major gift for scholarships, University of Kansas men's and women's athletics, and a Special Olympics clinic.

WHEN: Friday, Nov. 21, at halftime during the KU vs. University of Tennessee-Chattanooga men's basketball game. The game starts at 7 p.m.

WHERE: Allen Fieldhouse at KU in Lawrence

WHO: KU Chancellor Robert Hemenway; Lew Perkins, KU director of athletics; Ray Bechard, KU head volleyball coach; and Chris Hahn, president of Special Olympics-Kansas, will announce the gift from the court and be available for interviews at Horejsi Family Athletics Center following the announcement.
