MEDIA ADVISORY: KU School of Medicine to announce major gift for Kansas Cancer Institute

WHAT: The announcement of a gift that is among the three largest gifts in the history of the Kansas University Endowment Association and a major milestone in KU First: Invest in Excellence, KU's $500 million fund-raising campaign.

WHEN: 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20. A Webcast of the announcement also will be available; the link will be posted Thursday afternoon at http://www.kumc.edu.

WHERE: The University of Kansas School of Nursing Atrium at the KU Medical Center, 3901 Rainbow Blvd., Kansas City, Kan.

WHO: KU Chancellor Robert Hemenway; KU First Chairman Forrest Hoglund; School of Medicine Dean Barbara Atkinson, M.D.; and the donors.
