KU to hold federal job panel Oct. 29

LAWRENCE -- University Career and Employment Services at the University of Kansas will sponsor a federal job panel from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, in 330 Strong Hall.

Jason Parman, Office of Personal Management; Martha Goodall, Department of Homeland Security; Rita Womack, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms; and Vlad Sambaiew, U.S. Department of State, will discuss federal government employment and internship opportunities.

The federal government is the second-largest employer in the Kansas City area, and in the next five to 10 years, 30 percent to 50 percent of the federal government workforce will be eligible for retirement.
