MEDIA ADVISORY: KU to make historic grant announcement Monday

LAWRENCE -- University of Kansas Chancellor Robert Hemenway will announce a historic grant award at a press conference at 2:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 29. Gov. Kathleen Sebelius, Congressman Dennis Moore and Sen. Pat Roberts, among other guests, will speak at the press conference.

WHEN: 2:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 29

WHERE: KU Life Sciences Research Laboratories, Building A conference room, 15th Street and Wakarusa Drive, Lawrence.

DIRECTIONS: From Interstate 70, take West Lawrence Exit, follow Iowa Street south to 15th Street, turn right (west) and follow to Wakarusa. Cross Wakarusa and turn left immediately into parking lot.

From K-10 (23rd Street/Clinton Parkway in Lawrence), follow past Iowa and Kasold streets. Turn right (north) at Wakarusa; follow to four-way stop at 15th Street. Turn left (west) and turn immediately left again into parking lot.
