Audio and Video feed information

Credentials. All media personnel will need official Dole Institute dedication credentials. All vehicles will need official Dole Institute Dedication vehicle placards.

The Office of University Relations will be issuing the credentials and parking passes for the media only. All other passes – staff, vendors, guests – will be issued by the Dole Institute.

To apply for media credentials and parking passes, submit the following on company letterhead either by email (tcohen@ku.edu), fax (785 864-3339) or regular mail ( University Relations, University of Kansas, 1314 Jayhawk Blvd., Lawrence, KS 66045)

  1. Full name (first, middle, last)
  2. Name of media organization
  3. Indicate one of the following:
    ____ reporter
    ____ photographer (print & video)
    ____ technical crew
  4. Photocopy of a driver's license (or other government issued photo ID)
  5. Email address

Credentials will be available for pickup after July 15 at the KU Visitor Center or University Relations. You may pick up media parking passes for either the reserved media parking at the Visitor Center or the parking next to the Lied Center for television transmission trucks ONLY.

Note: The standard KU press parking passes, issued annually for use by media on the KU campus, cannot be used on West Campus and in lots 101, 102, 103, 104, 105 and 400 (Daisy Hill area around residence halls) during Dole dedication events, July 19 through July 22.

Parking and transportation. Parking is extremely limited around the Dole Institute due to security and space.Request a media parking pass when you pick up your credentials.
There will be reserved parking on-site for satellite and microwave transmission trucks.


All other media should park at the KU Visitor Center, at 15th and Iowa streets, and take a free media shuttle to the Dole Institute. See note above re: parking passes.

VIP photo-ops. 7 p.m. Sunday: Bob and Elizabeth Dole at the Holidome; 4:30 p.m. Monday: Dole, Presidents Carter and Ford.

Radio/TV coverage. Audio and video pool feeds will be provided for the interfaith worship service and the Glenn Miller Orchestra on Sunday; the Legacy of Leadership dinner and the Salute to the Heroes program on Monday, July 21; and  the dedication ceremony on July 22. Due to lack of space, video camera access to some events will not be permitted; use video feed instead. 

There is parking near the Lied Center on west campus for TV station satellite trucks ONLY.
