Chancellor's statement on death of admitted student from Pittsburg

University of Kansas Chancellor Robert E. Hemenway made the following statement in response to the death Sunday, Feb. 15, of 18-year-old Megan Alessa Mallatt of Pittsburg. She had planned to attend the University of Kansas. She died of injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Missouri. Funeral services are today.

"Our hearts go out to the parents, family and friends of Megan Mallatt, who was so full of promise. On behalf of the entire University of Kansas community, I offer our deepest condolences."
