KU Student Legislative Awareness Board to hold luncheon in Topeka

LAWRENCE -- The Student Legislative Awareness Board at the University of Kansas will sponsor a bus trip and luncheon with members of the Kansas Legislature from noon to 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 26.

Following the luncheon, students will have the opportunity to attend committee meetings or meet with their hometown legislators.

The schedule of events follows:

11 a.m. -- Meet at the Student Senate office, Kansas Union.

11:15 a.m. -- Bus departs Kansas Union for state capital, Topeka.

Noon-1p.m. -- Lunch with state legislators.

1-4:45 p.m. -- Attend committee meetings or meet with hometown legislators.

5 p.m. -- Bus departs Topeka for Lawrence.

Students who need to return to KU before 5 p.m. are invited to drive their own vehicles to Topeka. Shuart will try to locate convenient parking in those cases.
