Road improvements to close Engel Road near Daisy Hill residence halls

LAWRENCE -- Road improvements will close parts of Engel Road near the University of Kansas residence halls on Daisy Hill until mid-August.

Beginning Monday, June 14, Engel Road will be closed between 15th Street and Irving Hill Road.

Intersections crossing Engel Road at 15th Street and Irving Hill Road will be open.

The closure will limit vehicle traffic to Lewis and Hashinger Hall, although delivery vehicles will be allowed through.

The project will eliminate entry into two parking lots north of Nunemaker and Templin Halls.

Emergency vehicles will have access to all halls.

Construction is scheduled to be complete by Aug. 15.
