University of Kansas Chancellor Robert E. Hemenway made the following statement in response to the death Sunday of John Fulbright, 21, a sophomore in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences from Overland Park. Fulbright died in a one-car accident in Olathe that also killed the driver of the car, Eric Richards, 21, of Olathe. A 2001 graduate of Olathe East High School, Fulbright was employed by KU Recreation Services as a floor hockey/volleyball official. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lenexa Christian Center, 17500 W. 87th St., Lenexa. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the same location.
