LAWRENCE -- Jack Krebs, a Kansas high-school science teacher, pro-science activist and member of the science standards review committee of the Kansas State Board of Education, will deliver remarks on the direction the state school board might take on science standards in the 2004 academic year.
Krebs will speak at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 28 in Woodruff Auditorium at the Kansas Union. University of Kansas Chancellor Robert Hemenway will giving opening remarks.
The forum is sponsored by the Center for Science Education and several academic departments at KU, including physics and astronomy, chemistry, geology, ecology and evolutionary biology and molecular biosciences; the Division of Biological Sciences; and the Natural History Museum and Biodiversity Research Center.
