KU chancellor offers condolences to family of Shirlie Ann Vaughn

LAWRENCE — University of Kansas Chancellor Robert Hemenway offered the following statement in response to the death of Shirlie Ann Vaughn, 75, who died Sunday, Dec. 3, at the University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, Kan. Vaughn served as a fraternity house mother at KU for 30 years. She most recently worked for Delta Upsilon fraternity.

“With great care and wisdom, Shirlie Vaughn helped guide the personal and academic lives of the young men who were in her charge. In her three decades of service to KU, she touched the lives of thousands of students. On behalf of the entire university community, I offer deep condolences to Shirlie’s family and friends.”
