KU Center for Research to highlight projects at research convocation
LAWRENCE — University of Kansas faculty and staff are invited to attend the KU research convocation at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, at Alderson Auditorium in the Kansas Union.
Members of the media and the public are also invited to attend.
The 90-minute program will include a review of 2006 research highlights, a look at the future of research, presentation of the inaugural KU Research Achievement Award and brief presentations on research by Susan Harris, Joyce and Elizabeth Hall Distinguished Professor of American Literature and Culture; Joe Evans, Deane E. Ackers Distinguished Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science; and Joseph Steinmetz, professor and dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
There will be time at the end of the program for questions and comments from the audience, and a wine reception will follow.
The University of Kansas is a major comprehensive research and teaching university. University Relations is the central public relations office for KU's Lawrence campus.
